About The Position

As a member of the Regional Plant Integration Core Team for Marshall CT, Buck CT, and Belews Creek CT, you will serve as a subject matter expert and functional lead responsible for integrating key systems and capabilities into the design, construction, staffing, and commissioning of the new natural gas combustion turbine (CT) power stations in CDG. Members of the Regional PIT Core team will perform the infrastructure functions of integration (equipment databases, LOTO, inventory, facility and warehouse furnishings, circuit verification, work management, etc.), as defined in the Natural Gas Integration Procedure. This team will perform these functions simultaneously for the three (3) CT sites listed above. The overlapping sites are within 60 miles of one another, allowing for this regional opportunity. The Regional PIT Core Team plays a critical role in: Validating engineering designs for operability, maintainability, and cybersecurity. Supporting safe and efficient commissioning of systems and equipment. Preparing workforces and systems for ongoing operation. Establishing documentation, procedures, and data structures needed for full integration into the fleet.

Requirements

  • Associate degree
  • 5 years related experience
  • In lieu of an associate degree and 5 years related experience listed above, High School/GED and 9 years related experience.
  • Must be able to read, comprehend, inspect, calculate, count, retain and make sound decisions.
  • Must have the ability to be respirator qualified.

  • Working knowledge of overall operating fundamentals and principles of generating station systems, equipment and processes.

  • Demonstrated ability and previous experience in understanding, interpreting, communicating and analyzing financial data.
  • At least 7 years of plant operations, maintenance, and/or work management experience.
  • Proficient interpreting and understanding equipment/component diagrams, drawings, and schematics.
  • Financial and accounting knowledge and skills including ability to analyze data.
  • 3 years of experience in contract management.
  • 3 years of experience in project management.
  • Proficient in Maximo or computer-based Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Experience in a Leadership role at a generation station is strongly preferred.
  • Project integration, construction, or commissioning experience.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, NERC, and environmental regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control logic.
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead functional representative for your area(s) (operations, maintenance, I&C, DCS, and/or Electrical) through engineering design reviews, construction, commissioning, and startup.
  • Collaborate with the EPC contractor, OEMs, and internal stakeholders to ensure the facility meets operational needs and standards.
  • Participate in design validation and integration of plant systems.
  • Provide input into workforce needs and assist in onboarding, and training of plant personnel.
  • Develop and implement procedures, PMs, and system documentation aligned with fleet standards.
  • Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities to ensure systems are installed, tested, and verified in accordance with specifications.
  • Support readiness for safe and efficient commercial operation at COD.
  • Transition knowledge to the site team to ensure long-term operational excellence.
  • Oversee installation of devices that measure things like temperature, pressure, and flow.
  • Make sure automatic controls operate equipment correctly.
  • Test instruments to ensure accurate readings.
  • Connect field equipment to the main computer control system.
  • Manage systems like Distributed Control System (DCS) or Supervisory Control Data Acquisition systems (SCADA), both are the control room software operators use.
  • Help protect the plant’s control systems from cyber threats.
  • Set up alarms, screens, trends, and reports for operators.
  • Ensure plant data can be shared with company-wide monitoring systems.
  • Plan and oversee installation of electrical systems.
  • Manage equipment like transformers, switchgear, motor controls, and backup power systems.
  • Review electrical drawings and protection settings.
  • Oversee testing before systems are turned on.
  • Support startup of energized equipment.
  • Ensure all work meets electrical safety codes and standards.
  • Provide input into shift configuration and qualification requirements.
  • Assist in development of operating procedures and startup plans.
  • Provide input on control room layout and operator interface design.
  • Lead operational walkdowns, system turnover acceptance, and oversight of operator training.
  • Define preventive maintenance strategies, asset hierarchy, and spare parts list.
  • Collaborate with engineering and OEMs on maintainability of systems and equipment.
  • Establish configuration and maintenance workflows.
  • Support development of equipment tagging, documentation, and inventory.
