About The Position

Brighton NC Manufacturing Solutions is a CNC machining manufacturer of metal parts that has served the automotive, railroad, construction, heavy equipment, and military defense industries since 1965. The company seeks team members who take pride in the quality of their work. The Maintenance Controls/Mechanical Technician troubleshoots and maintains equipment control systems and performs related mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic work. The role documents maintenance work in a CMMS, diagnoses recurring problems, performs preventive maintenance, and supports continuous improvement and workplace safety. The schedule is Monday through Friday, typically 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with some flexibility for slight modifications such as 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Overtime may be required. Pay is commensurate with skills and experience.

Requirements

Proficiency and experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and Siemens control packages.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience with 120 VAC, 208 VAC, and 480 VAC.
Knowledge of machinery rigging, leveling, and geometric inspection and adjustment.
Willingness and ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot equipment control systems and perform diagnostic checks.
Read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, control diagnostics, and ladder logic.
Perform related mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic duties.
Document projects, repairs, parts used, and time spent in the CMMS.
Identify root causes of recurring issues and develop and implement resolutions.
Perform preventive maintenance according to manufacturers’ specifications.
Identify potential issues during preventive maintenance and determine whether repairs are needed immediately or can be planned for later.
Support continuous improvement and workplace safety.
Perform lockout/tagout procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
