About The Position

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Operations Control Manager, the Maintenance Controller coordinates daily with Flight Operations and Maintenance to support completion of the flight schedule. The role monitors aircraft maintenance operations, provides technical assistance, coordinates repairs and maintenance needs across the fleet, and helps maintain safe, on-time operations while minimizing unnecessary costs and disruptions.

Requirements

• Current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P), with no history of infractions and recent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft.
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine repair or replacement feasibility and methods.
• Authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Flexibility and willingness to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime if needed.
• Willingness to work with other company departments as needed.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong desire for success.
• Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test.
• Must pass a TSA-required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle high-stress situations and multitask.
• Well-developed people skills and ability to work with Team Members with a variety of personalities.
• Fluency in English.

Nice To Haves

• Four-year degree in Aerospace, Aviation Maintenance, or Business.
• Two or more years of Maintenance Planning and/or Maintenance Control experience.
• Factory or equivalent training on Embraer 190.

Responsibilities

• Alert down-line and other out-stations to arrange emergency maintenance for unforeseen maintenance problems and ensure timely repairs.
• Monitor aircraft maintenance operations and provide technical assistance to ensure repairs comply with company requirements and applicable CFRs while supporting safety and on-time flight operations.
• Maintain continuous liaison with IOCC, report the general mechanical status of the fleet, and coordinate maintenance requirements during irregular operations to minimize costs and disruptions.
• Ensure inoperative systems are operated and maintained in accordance with the MEL, Configuration Deviation List (CDL), or other company-approved deferrals, and take necessary corrective measures.
• Ensure timely repair of aircraft with repetitive maintenance histories, obtain additional technical information as needed, and direct actions to reduce costs and unnecessary part replacement.
• Coordinate with other Maintenance areas to ensure required components, parts, and troubleshooting expertise are available to expedite aircraft maintenance and repairs at maintenance bases or down-line stations.
• Coordinate Ferry Flights or Functional Check Flights with the concerned departments.
• Notify appropriate management Team Members of incidents or accidents in accordance with ERM instructions.
• Notify the DOM of situations or practices that do not meet Maintenance Manual requirements and could compromise safety or add unnecessary costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group values.
