About The Position

Reporting to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor IV, this position requires specialization in two or more technical trades in connection with maintenance of facilities, related equipment, and machinery. Position will function at the journey level in multiple skilled trades such as electrical, plumbing, masonry, heating and air, or similar specializations. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Completing complex work assignments, which require planning and/or coordinating multiple trade disciplines. - Working assigned tasks independently and referring very technical or unusual working problems to a supervisor for consideration. - Supervising offender workers engaged in semiskilled, unskilled, or of skilled maintenance assignments. - Ensuring compliance with work orders and maintaining equipment in proper working condition.

Requirements

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas
Or An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of methods, practices, tools and/or materials used in the general maintenance and/or repair of buildings, equipment, and/or machinery.
Current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulation part 82, subpart F.
