About The Position

Works closely with and reports directly to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor I. Job responsibilities include; but are not limited to, the following: - Functioning at the journey level in two or more technical trades (electrical, plumbing, masonry, heating and air, or similar specializations) in connection with maintenance of facilities, related equipment and machinery. - Completing complex work assignments which require planning and coordination of multiple trade disciplines. - Working assigned tasks independently and referring very technical or unusual working problems to a supervisor for consideration. - Supervising offender workers engaged in semiskilled, unskilled, or of skilled maintenance assignments. - Ensuring compliance with work orders. - Maintaining equipment in proper working condition.

Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two (2) years of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas
  • Or An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, and/or materials used in the general maintenance and/or repair of buildings, equipment, and/or machinery.
  • May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III, or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F.
