Requirements

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one (1) year of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a Valid Driver's license upon hire.

Nice To Haves

Skilled in diagnosing and repairing maintenance issues
Ability to operate and maintain maintenance equipment and tools.
May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F.

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on buildings, grounds, equipment, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Conduct regular inspections and complete assigned work orders with minimal supervision, addressing maintenance issues in a timely and thorough manner.
Assist in maintaining grounds and operating groundskeeping equipment, ensuring exterior areas of the facility are well-kept and functional.
Collaborate with the supervisor to discuss non-routine or complex maintenance tasks and ensure proper resolution of maintenance challenges.
Participate in cross-training opportunities within the Facility Maintenance -Group to support a flexible and knowledgeable maintenance team.
Assist with a variety of general maintenance-related duties as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to the overall upkeep and functionality of the facility.
