About The Position

The County Market Janitorial Clerk is responsible for cleaning and performing light day-to-day repair of general maintenance items. This role involves delivering superior guest service and ensuring absolute customer satisfaction. Duties include general cleaning such as emptying wastebaskets, detailed restroom cleaning, replenishing supplies, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting. Light maintenance work includes shoveling snow, replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, painting, and building shelves. The position may also require stocking groceries, assisting customers, and pushing carts during peak hours. The clerk must follow all store and department policies and procedures, including safety policies, and act as a safety role model. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

Empties wastebaskets, cleans restrooms in detail, and replenishes supplies
Vacuums hallways/offices, sweeps and mops all hard surfaces
Dusts furniture, blinds, etc.
Performs light maintenance work, including shoveling snow and replacing light bulbs
Performs minor repair work, paints, and builds shelves
Operates pallet jack and forklift
Calls for outside assistance with a repair problem, if needed
During peak hours, stocks groceries, helps customers, pushes carts
Follows all store and department policies and procedures
Follows safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
