About The Position

Performs renovations and new construction projects. Demolishes existing areas and prefabricates needed walls, doorways, cabinets, floors, and ceilings. The position requires carpentry experience and the ability to work independently, communicate professionally, use relevant tools and computer systems, follow safety procedures, identify and correct Life Safety deficiencies, and respond to after-hours emergency calls.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma.
• 3–5 years of experience in general carpentry, wood trim work, flooring and base, acoustical ceiling systems, drywall work, doors and hardware systems, and automatic doors.
• Knowledge of woodworking, trim work, doors and hardware, ceiling systems, drywall work, and floor work.
• Ability to work well with all levels of staff personnel.
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft-based programs.
• Ability to learn, navigate, and work within the Facilities Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Common knowledge of working with power and hand tools.
• Knowledge of and compliance with general safety procedures and regulations.
