Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Maintenance Carpenter – Level 3 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. The Carpenter performs skilled maintenance, repair, and finish carpentry work to support industrial and commercial facilities. This role requires expertise in woodworking, facility repairs, and blueprint interpretation to maintain safe and functional work environments. This position will work 2nd shift.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • 4 years carpentry-related experience
  • Ability to inspect, identify, and provide solutions to repair systems

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance
  • Large/Multi-Site Facilities Carpentry experience

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain various structures and equipment in industrial and commercial establishments, working from detailed blueprints, drawings, and oral instructions
  • Perform rough-to-finish carpentry work on buildings, office partitions, benches, scaffolding, framework, platforms, and trim
  • Operates woodworking tools such as electrical saws, routers, drills, planers, lathes, jointers, molders, borers, and sanders.
  • Makes shop computations relating to dimensions of work and selects necessary materials
  • Installs pictures, whiteboards, monitors, and other similar items.
  • Performs basic repairs of ceiling tiles, drywall, and roofs
  • Other duties as assigned
