About The Position

The Associate will be responsible for general building and equipment maintenance, water operator duties, snow removal during winter months, and general repair and maintenance of all forklifts, motorized pallet jacks, company vehicles, and other company-owned equipment. Responsibilities include general building repairs such as plumbing, facility lighting, painting, and assisting with the general cleanliness of the facility and grounds. Moving office equipment, trash removal, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of truck sheds, loafing sheds, maintenance shop, and bone yard are also key duties. Some off-shift work, potentially including weekends, may be scheduled. Other seasonal work and duties within the Maintenance Department may be assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • Verifiable knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Good mechanical ability with verifiable general knowledge of vehicle maintenance (preventative and scheduled)
  • Plumbing skills
  • General knowledge of electrical and lighting
  • Ability to operate a forklift, bobcat, shag truck, and all other company vehicles
  • Clean driving history
  • Physical ability to lift at least 40-50 lbs
  • Ability to stand throughout the majority of the shift
  • Capability to work in all environmental conditions (inside and outside)
  • Overtime will be required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Good written skills
  • Computer skills are a plus
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • 6 months work history or participant of any industrial maintenance educational program
