The Maintenance Automation Technician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment and facility systems with an emphasis on controls, including relay logic, PLCs and HMIs (Allen-Bradley), servo drives and motors, robotics, vision systems, and electrical power distribution. This includes a wide range of machinery such as mechanical and hydraulic presses, furnaces, grinders, steel preparation and coating equipment, gear shapers, robotics, CNC machining centers, dust and fume collection equipment, transformers, switchgears, busbars, HVAC equipment, and fire suppression systems. The role requires strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, the ability to repair and test automation systems and components, and proficiency with Allen Bradley and Siemens hardware/software. The technician will also assist engineering and operations with process issues and improvements, consult with suppliers, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Occasional travel for training is required.
