We currently have an opening for a Maintenance Automation Technician/Electrician based out of Charlestown, Indiana. This position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

• Knowledge of pneumatic circuits and systems
• Knowledge of PLC-based equipment and some PLC program knowledge
• Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, electric and mechanical equipment
• Ability to use machining tools and equipment
• Ability to read, understand, and update electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings for assembly machines and equipment
• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience with hand tools
• Experience with some machining and welding
• Understanding of injection machines including auxiliary equipment

Responsibilities

• Identify safety concerns and repair unsafe conditions
• Perform electrical work safely and legally
• Maintain assembly machines and equipment per established PM schedules and suggest improvements to PM schedules (frequency and content) as applicable
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintain process uptime through troubleshooting and repairs
• Actively involved in continuous improvement through the appropriate channels
• Document issues and repairs using the appropriate systems and forms
• Support production equipment start-up and change-over as requires
• Assist in new equipment commissioning and start-ups
• Perform any other duties assigned
