Maintenance Assistant - Handy man - Jack of all Trades. No certification, registrations, or licenses are required. Minimum education is a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance, preferably in a health care facility is required. Employee must have general knowledge of safety, SDS, infectious waste rules, and infection control. Employee must also be willing to learn basic maintenance and repairs within the Center and have the ability to recognize when to refer a more complex problem to appropriate resources. Must have basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, construction, make ready, repair and replacement. Must be self-motivated and take initiative. Working with a computerized work order system is required. Must be able to work harmoniously and effectively with residents, families, fellow employees, other associated members and vendors. Must be able to keep accurate records and logs.
