About The Position

This Maintenance Associate position involves assisting other technicians in equipment repair and maintenance, cleaning work areas, and completing documentation. Key duties include maintaining and repairing building facilities (plumbing, construction, painting), operating various material handling and powered equipment, and safely handling hazardous materials. The role also encompasses performing preventive and basic maintenance on a wide range of equipment, from production machinery to HVAC units. Beyond technical tasks, the associate is expected to comply with company policies, manage work assignments, collaborate with colleagues, and continuously seek improvement opportunities. Responsibilities

  • Assists other Maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment
  • Cleans and maintains equipment, tools, and work areas
  • Completes work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures
  • Maintains and repairs building facilities for example plumbing, construction, painting
  • Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery and other powered equipment
  • Assists in the usage and disposal of hazardous materials and waste for example cleaning chemicals according to company policies and procedures
  • Performs preventive and basic maintenance and repairs on equipment for example production equipment, lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, HVAC units, facilities and grounds according to company policies and procedures
  • Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data and resources collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners identifying priorities, deadlines and expectations carrying out tasks communicating progress and information determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities and adapting to and learning from change difficulties and feedback
