About The Position

Oversees, maintains, and performs non-skilled repairs on equipment and other structures within a distribution center. Completes basic building maintenance tasks or works with vendors on more complex tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical lighting, HVAC, and material handling equipment repairs. Maintains a safe and clean working environment for distribution associates. Performs limited preventative maintenance inspections on assigned warehouse equipment assets and buildings. Delivers equipment status reports on open and closed maintenance work orders. Provides operational support for general warehouse duties. Assists with parts inventory management and reports maintenance problems to management. Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, and other powered equipment. Ensures hazardous materials are properly stored, managed, and maintained.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
  • Generally, 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience performing general building maintenance functions.
  • Experience with painting, general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance.
  • Knowledge of mechanical building construction of commercial properties.
  • Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
