This role involves performing maintenance tasks within an industrial setting. Depending on the specialization, duties can include electrical and instrumentation work such as troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuits, installing conduit and wire, repairing lighting, troubleshooting and repairing PLCs, drives, and instrumentation and control valves. Mechanical maintenance duties include replacing valves and gaskets, basic welding, repacking pumps and valves, forklift operations, installing screwed pipe and tubing, cylinder repair, pump repair and replacement, repair of rotating assemblies, roll repair and replacements, motor replacements, and repair of mechanical drive systems. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, the ability to represent company policy, develop knowledge of mill operations, utilize excellent communication and organizational skills, analyze problems, and make effective decisions. Basic computer skills are also necessary.
