About The Position

The primary role of the Maintenance Associate is to provide administrative and analytical support to the Plant Engineering function by managing maintenance systems, organizing critical data, and ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and documentation to support reliability and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Combination of education/or experience in Business Administration, Engineering Technology, and/or Industrial Technology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to organize data, generate reports, and create basic dashboards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain accurate records, files, and documentation systems.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate data and insights in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the language of the majority cultural group in order to communicate effectively. Must be able to hear enough to understand those individuals as well.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend documents such as grafts/flow sheets, financials, general professional articles and publications, governmental regulations, safety rules, assignment sheets, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, policies and procedures, and other administrative forms as outlined above.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in both individual and group settings.
  • Must be able to present information and respond to questions from individuals and/or groups including employees, managers, and the general public.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, such as whole numbers, fractions, and percentages.
  • Compute rate, discounts, ratios, and percent.
  • Make, read, and interpret financials, graphs, rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense and judgment in solving problems and interpreting and understanding instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action, yet reason when to involve a supervisor.
  • Basic computer knowledge with the ability to learn software.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office and show ability to effectively use Microsoft Excel (must pass Microsoft Excel assessment).
  • Display strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deal with frequent interruptions.
  • Basic office skills such as phone skills, voice mail, copying, faxing, typing, and directing visitors.
  • Ability to cope with the physical and emotional stress of the position, as an employee may be subject to hostile or emotionally upset production personnel and/or craftsmen.
  • Ability to function independently given assigned duties.
  • Ability to communicate, work, and interact with a variety of individuals.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • 2–4 years of experience in a maintenance, manufacturing, engineering support, or industrial environment preferred.
  • Experience working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain weekly maintenance schedules and associated reports.
  • Collect, organize, and present data and charts in a clear concise manner so we can evaluate progress on Maintenance Reliability Process
  • Maintains the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Maintains the Plant Engineering Filing System
  • Updates and maintains the Engineering Files to track safety items.
  • Maintains records for completion of engineering audits.
  • Maintains and tracks key Preventative and Predictive Maintenance findings.
  • Runs key weekly and monthly reports for Plant Engineering Group.
  • Completes associated items for new assets and disposed assets.
  • Other duties as assigned
