About The Position

Graphic Packaging International produces paper-based packaging for various consumer products. This position leads daily electrical maintenance activity in support of two paper machines. The role involves supervising 15-20 hourly employees, managing by key performance indicators, and actively participating in plant safety, housekeeping, 5S, and lean manufacturing programs. The Maintenance Associate Manager is responsible for efficient preventive maintenance scheduling and execution to optimize equipment, coordinating with production to eliminate equipment failures, conducting root cause failure analysis, and ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations. Promoting safe work execution through daily safety briefings, monthly safety meetings, and ensuring required safety training for the crew is also a key responsibility. The manager will also be required to perform rotating weekly on-call duty for the entire mill. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of electrical maintenance supervisory experience in related industries is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and a CMMS system preferably SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises 15 - 20 hourly employees and must possess the ability to manage by key performance indicators.
  • Actively leads and participates in plant safety, housekeeping, 5S and lean manufacturing programs by ensuring goals are met within the department.
  • Responsible for efficient preventive maintenance work scheduling and execution to optimize equipment.
  • Responsible for the coordination with production colleagues to eliminate equipment failures.
  • Responsible for root cause failure analysis participation.
  • Responsible for compliance with all required Environmental, Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Promotes safe work execution through daily safety briefing with the crew, monthly safety meetings, and ensuring the crew receives all required safety training.
  • Required to perform rotating weekly maintenance on-call duty for the entire mill.
  • Other duties as assigned.
