About The Position

LifePath is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with an on-call rotation. The role involves working in various locations, primarily residential group homes and program/office buildings, across Upper Bucks and Montgomery Counties. The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for prioritizing and completing maintenance requests, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and performing semi-skilled tasks in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs. The position requires learning and upholding consumer rights, promoting a safe and respectful environment, and maintaining positive public relations.

Requirements

At least one year experience working in the field of maintenance including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical and repair work
At least eighteen (18) years of age
Valid driver's license with 3-year clean driving record
High School Diploma/GED
Ability to walk, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, and lift items weighing 50 pounds
Ability to read and comprehend English language to understand work assignments, LifePath policies and procedures, and perform job safely

Responsibilities

Prioritize work requests and schedule maintenance tasks.
Complete maintenance requests in compliance with State and Company Regulations.
Perform various semi-skilled tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs.
Maintain machinery, fire systems, buildings, and equipment.
Be available for immediate maintenance needs.
Learn and be knowledgeable of consumer rights.
Ensure an atmosphere that allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all consumers in a safe, secure environment.
Use tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations.
Promote positive public relations with consumers, family members, and guests.
