About The Position
The Maintenance Assistant assists in routine and extensive preventive maintenance needed to keep the building's infrastructure in working condition. Promotes a positive and safe environment for residents.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Maintenance experience preferred
- Dedicated to the principle of providing improved quality of life to the residents
- Capable of following written and verbal instructions in the following maintenance / repair work
- Capable of following written and verbal instructions in the safe preparation, application, and storage of all chemicals used in the Department
- Capable of following written and verbal instructions in the safe operation of: electric drill, electric saw, lawnmower, Hilti /ramset gun, weed eater, chain saw, belt sander, electric hedge trimmer
- Good observation skills
- Must successfully pass the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) criminal background check.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to provide applicable documentation(s) for I-9 in order to establish identity and authorization to work in the US.
- Must have valid driver’s license, personal automobile liability insurance, and acceptable driving record (if required to drive).
