Requirements

A high school graduate/GED preferred.
At least 2 years in one of the following fields: (a) general maintenance (institution or building), (b) carpentry or facility construction, (c) plumbing and/or electricity, (d) appliance maintenance.
Must possess the ability to communicate, understand, and carry out directions or instructions, both written and verbal, as well as work independently or on a team.

Responsibilities

Providing special projects in the maintenance department
Carrying out planned maintenance programs as directed by the Director of Maintenance and documenting as required
Expediting repair requisitions on a safety-first, patient-need, priority basis
Repairs, replenishing, and refinishes walls, wall coverings, ceilings, and floors
Observes mechanical/electrical devices in operations, locating, adjusting, and correcting potential problems
