About The Position

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment including forklifts, conveyors, wrappers, and routine building maintenance as needed. This position involves contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value. A review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation, and to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and vendors.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
Have at least one (1) year of work experience in maintenance

Nice To Haves

Have an associate's degree or higher
Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollys, conveyor belts, etc.)
Have at least one (1) year of maintenance experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts

Responsibilities

Assisting the technician in completing and updating information in eAM and contributing to the maintenance department's achievement of additional levels of Rx
Identifying problems, troubleshooting, evaluating, repairing equipment, and/or making adjustments or corrections to parts or equipment
Communicating effectively with warehouse technicians and different levels of management and working as a team member in the maintenance department
Ensuring HKE standards are maintained and for ensuring all safety and company rules are followed
