About The Position

The Fairfield Inn is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Assistant to join their Maintenance Team. This role is responsible for the upkeep of the hotel property and will assist the Chief Engineer. The hotel is conveniently located 8 miles from Clearwater Beach, features 127 newly renovated rooms, and is close to local attractions and Tampa International Airport. The Fairfield Inn is one of 50 properties owned and managed by Buffalo Lodging Associates.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or a related field.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and general maintenance skills required.
• Ability to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry, and pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to reach overhead, climb, crouch, and twist.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Assist with pool operations and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain and service pool and spa areas, including testing and recording as required by state and local regulations.
• Clean internal areas of buildings, including sweeping, mopping, and removing garbage.
• Maintain cleanliness of public and storage areas, as well as the parking lot.
• Maintain all fixtures and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and record such maintenance in log books.
