About The Position

This role is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance, ensuring machinery and plant are in good working order, and troubleshooting issues with presses and equipment. The Maintenance Assistant will also be responsible for understanding company quality policy and safety rules, reporting any equipment problems to supervisors, and interpreting schematic drawings. The position involves the safe operation of power tools and various types of equipment.

Requirements

• Capable of interpreting schematic drawings of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical prints.
• Thorough knowledge of safe operation of power tools, electrical, mechanical, gauging and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance duties as scheduled per manual.
• Keep machinery and plant in good working order.
• Troubleshoot problems with presses and equipment to find defective parts and repair or replace them.
• Understand company quality policy and general safety rules for all employees.
• Note any problems with presses and equipment and bring to supervisors attention.
• Interpret schematic drawings of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical prints.
• Safely operate power tools, electrical, mechanical, gauging, and measuring equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
