About The Position

The Maintenance Utility Associate plays an important hospitality-focused support role within our senior living community. This position combines hands-on utility support, resident interaction, and community upkeep to help ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for over 400 residents across our 20-acre campus. This individual serves as a visible and positive presence throughout the community by assisting residents, delivering packages, supporting daily community appearance standards, helping monitor resident well-being through friendly check-ins and observation, and responding to emergency calls in Independent Living. The ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, physically active, and genuinely enjoys working with seniors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must possess a strong hospitality mindset and enjoy serving seniors
  • Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remain productive in a busy environment
  • Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
  • Comfortable walking extensively throughout a large 20-acre campus
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and move items as needed
  • Must be physically fit with the stamina to remain active throughout the workday

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in maintenance support, hospitality, customer service, senior living, or facilities operations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver resident packages, supplies, and miscellaneous items throughout the community in a timely and courteous manner
  • Assist with general community clean-up, organization, and “spruce up” projects both indoors and outdoors
  • Support the Maintenance Department with light utility tasks and campus appearance initiatives
  • Conduct friendly resident wellness check-ins and promptly report concerns or unusual observations to leadership
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of common areas, walkways, patios, and community spaces
  • Assist with event setup, furniture movement, and miscellaneous operational support as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive interactions with residents, families, guests, and team members
  • Respond with urgency, professionalism, and compassion when assisting residents
  • Promote a warm, hospitality-centered atmosphere throughout the community
  • Follow all safety procedures, infection control standards, and community policies
