About The Position

As a Maintenance Assistant at Skybrooke at Simsbury, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including fixing minor issues and performing essential proactive maintenance. Your efforts will contribute to the upkeep and appearance of our buildings and equipment, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for residents and staff. This is a full-time position with a schedule of 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, working Sunday through Thursday, with the second week being Tuesday through Saturday.

Requirements

Knowledge of preventive maintenance to stop problems before they happen.
Ability to work effectively with others.
Attention to detail and careful problem-solving skills.
Commitment to making a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
Must pass a criminal background screening.
Must show valid proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 before commencing work or commit to obtaining full vaccination within 30 days of commencing work, unless an approved exemption is received.

Responsibilities

Fix both small and big problems to keep our community running smoothly.
Do regular maintenance to make sure everything looks nice and is comfortable for residents and staff.
Work closely with the Maintenance Director to update them on systems, issues and remedies.
Quickly and effectively respond to maintenance requests to keep residents safe and happy.
Keep your work area clean and organized, and always follow safety rules.
Complete daily apartment cleaning.
