About The Position
Cardinal Lane Senior Living community is currently seeking a Full Time Maintenance Assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, their families and our community. The Maintenance Assistant provides ongoing preventative maintenance and resident assistance, building and grounds maintenance, troubleshooting maintenance problems and various related tasks as assigned. Performs most tasks independently with occasional assistance of outside vendor. Is available to respond to maintenance emergencies that may arise outside of regular working hours.
Requirements
- Prior experience in building maintenance.
- Knowledge of Plumbing (design/mechanics of commodes, plumbing fixtures, drains, discharge lines, hot water heaters, dishwashers, ice machines, etc.).
- Knowledge of HVAC (general principles of HVAC and heat pump operation/mechanics, and refrigeration).
- Knowledge of Electricity (wiring, voltage, amperage).
- Knowledge of Mechanics (design/operation of engines).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.

- Able to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Must demonstrate a positive, courteous and respectful attitude to residents, families, staff and visitors.
