About The Position
The Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in ensuring that the grounds exceed the expectations of patients and their families while they are in the facility’s care. The position assists the Maintenance Director with the facility’s safety, appearance, and maintenance in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements. Work includes painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- Knowledge of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- HVAC certification.
- Maintenance experience, especially in a healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Maintenance Director with the overall safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements.
