Spring / North Houston - Maintenance
About The Position
Integrated Community Services is hiring a full-time Property Maintenance for the Spring / Tomball area. Integrated Community Services operates group homes for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Maintenance Assistant will assist program staff in managing service needs for a small fleet of vehicles, inspecting homes regularly for maintenance problems, providing routine maintenance, checking water temperatures, making minor repairs, light painting, minor furniture moving, assisting with utilities and cable setup for new houses, and diagnosing maintenance requests prior to calling outside contractors for major maintenance. On-the-job training is provided.
Requirements
- Valid and current Texas Driver's License
- Clear Background Check
- Clear DMV Check
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Proof of Education
- No confirmation of Abuse/Neglect/Exploitation of an elderly or disabled person
- No history of Medicaid fraud.
Responsibilities
- Manage service needs for small fleet of vehicles - coordinate oil changes and services, as needed.
- Inspect homes regularly for maintenance problems.
- Provide routine maintenance in group homes - inspections, change air filters, light bulbs, etc.
- Check water temperatures in group homes - adjust water heaters, as needed.
- Make minor repairs to group home property, when possible.
- Some light painting.
- Some minor furniture moving.
- Assist in getting utilities and cable turned on for new houses (available to let service people in).
- Diagnose maintenance requests prior to calling outside contractors for major maintenance.
- Coordinate outside service contractors for major maintenance (plumbing, electrical, etc).
