About The Position

The Maintenance Assistant maintains the grounds, building, and equipment of the Health Campus in a safe and effective manner to support residents’ health, welfare, safety, and satisfaction. The role also assists with the direction and overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as instructed by the Executive Director. The assistant may help drive the campus bus for maintenance appointments or resident trips as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

• Ability to operate a large van or bus with capacity for up to 15 passengers safely and efficiently.
• Meet all state requirements for transporting residents, including required licensing and certifications.
• For Kentucky applicants, complete a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical before providing transportation service.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED/HSE preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the grounds, building, and equipment for the Health Campus.
• Make daily rounds to identify and address maintenance, equipment, and safety concerns that could affect residents, families, and employees.
• Perform repairs as needed and appropriate on equipment, the building, and grounds.
• Assist with the Maintenance Department’s operation in accordance with current federal and state regulations.
• Assist with driving the Health Campus bus for required maintenance appointments or resident trips as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
