About The Position

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport, a family-owned business since 1960, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Lead in managing and maintaining outdoor/indoor spaces and facilities. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals eager to gain experience in property and building maintenance. The Maintenance Assistant will perform general labor duties and assist with various maintenance tasks under supervision.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a drug test, background check, and have a clean driving record.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• General working knowledge of tools and their applications.
• Willingness to work outdoors and perform physical tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance to the Maintenance Lead on assigned projects.
• Assist with minor repairs in plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work under supervision.
• Help maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
• Support regular inspections and routine maintenance activities.
• Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
