About The Position

Weinstein Properties is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Assistant Supervisor for their property in Cary, NC. This is a "working" lead role where the individual will assist with managing and coordinating the activities of a service team to ensure efficient upkeep, inventory, and repair of the property's grounds and buildings. The role involves diagnosing and making repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliances. The Maintenance Assistant Supervisor will also assist with scheduling and supervising in-house and vendor work, and will share on-call duties with other team members. The effective performance of the service team is crucial for maximizing rents and maintaining high occupancy levels through professional maintenance practices, quality control, and adherence to policies and procedures. The service team is customer service driven, aiming to create a lasting positive influence on visitors, prospects, and residents. Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of trade-related experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on apartment maintenance supervisory experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance.
  • EPA/CFC Refrigerant certification required (Type I and II or Universal).
  • Hands-on HVAC repair experience required.
  • Computer skills: use business software to assign and manage work orders, schedule turns, order supplies, and communicate via email.
  • Willing to share on-call with other team members.
  • Valid driver's license, transportation, and tools required.
  • Must pass a DMV and background/criminal check.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing and coordinating activities of a service team.

  • Maximize rents and maintain high occupancy levels by following professional maintenance practices, using quality control, and following policies/procedures.
