About The Position

This is an entry-level hourly position with growth potential! This position requires the apprentice to develop Industrial Maintenance knowledge and skills through on-the-job training in combination with class room instruction. Perform general maintenance and repair work with the supervision of experienced Maintenance Techs and independently as skill set increases. An apprentice will typically work a 1st Shift schedule during the apprenticeship and eventually be placed on an off-shift once it is completed.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Strong desire to learn and grow in a state-of-the-art, fast-paced environment
Strong mechanical aptitude preferred
Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.
Able to apply concepts of high school math
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
Working knowledge of Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
Working knowledge of Product layouts and production specifications
Working knowledge of Product quality specifications
Working knowledge of Quality standards
Regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Occasionally required to sit.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate ability to learn and progressively increase in knowledge and skills in Electrical Construction and Installation, Electrical Maintenance and Repair, Safety Procedures, Electronic Controls, and Independent Problem Solving.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs with a quick response to system and equipment failures.
Follow-up all work in orders to ensure proper performance.
Complete all paperwork neatly, accurately, and in accordance with Company guidelines.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain good housekeeping.
Additional duties as assigned, including working after hours and off-shift hours as required to maintain production.
