About The Position

As a Maintenance and Safety Technician, you will support day‑to‑day maintenance and facility operations that keep the site running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on maintenance role, and the majority of your time will be spent performing maintenance work directly, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and facility systems. You will also support site-level safety programs, emergency response readiness, and documentation requirements as directed by the EHS & Facilities Manager.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or maintenance certification is preferred.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of basic site safety practices and emergency response procedures.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment as well as facility infrastructure systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Solid problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently while communicating effectively across teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands‑on routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance directly on facility equipment and systems to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation.
  • Serve as the primary on-site maintenance technician, completing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and performing facility upkeep.
  • Arrange and track work performed by external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assist with identifying and documenting facility and grounds needs to support capital expenditure discussions, as requested by the EHS & Facilities Manager and onsite leadership.
  • Serve as the primary site-level point of contact for emergency response situations, including fire, medical, and chemical spill incidents.
  • Conduct and document regular safety inspections and audits to identify and help mitigate potential hazards throughout the facility.
  • Work with the EHS Manager to coordinate, document, and track all site-level incidents to ensure accurate reporting and timely follow-up.
  • Support the EHS Manager in delivering site-level safety training, emergency response protocols, and required compliance activities.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and safety documentation in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong prioritization skills to balance hands-on maintenance duties with assigned safety responsibilities.
