About The Position

As a Maintenance and Safety Technician, you will support day‑to‑day maintenance and facility operations that keep the site running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on maintenance role, and the majority of your time will be spent performing maintenance work directly, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and facility systems. You will also support site-level safety programs, emergency response readiness, and documentation requirements as directed by the EHS & Facilities Manager.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or maintenance certification is preferred.
2–4 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of basic site safety practices and emergency response procedures.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment as well as facility infrastructure systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
Solid problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
The ability to work independently while communicating effectively across teams.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform hands‑on routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance directly on facility equipment and systems to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation.
Serve as the primary on-site maintenance technician, completing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and performing facility upkeep.
Arrange and track work performed by external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair activities.
Assist with identifying and documenting facility and grounds needs to support capital expenditure discussions, as requested by the EHS & Facilities Manager and onsite leadership.
Serve as the primary site-level point of contact for emergency response situations, including fire, medical, and chemical spill incidents.
Conduct and document regular safety inspections and audits to identify and help mitigate potential hazards throughout the facility.
Work with the EHS Manager to coordinate, document, and track all site-level incidents to ensure accurate reporting and timely follow-up.
Support the EHS Manager in delivering site-level safety training, emergency response protocols, and required compliance activities.
Maintain accurate maintenance and safety documentation in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal requirements.
Demonstrate strong prioritization skills to balance hands-on maintenance duties with assigned safety responsibilities.
