About The Position

Club Car boasts a 60+ year history of industry-leading innovation and design, initially focused on golf cars and then expanding to commercial utility vehicles and personal-use transportation. Position Summary: EHS technicians perform technical duties related to safety, health, and environmental compliance. This position is a full-time, hourly (non-exempt) role and is eligible for overtime.

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • AA required, BS/BA preferred in Industrial Hygiene, Industrial Engineering, Life Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Studies, and Occupational Health and Safety. Additional degrees, related coursework, or certifications may be considered.
  • Must complete required training to include: RCRA training / DOT certification, First Aid/CPR/AED, HazWoper Technician, etc., within the first 3 months of hire.
  • Strong capability with computer applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, preferred.
  • Must be able to recognize conflict and take appropriate action within the scope of the role.
  • Must be able to define problem areas, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform EHS preventative maintenance and inspection of assigned equipment, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Seeks to acquire new skills and abilities in order to keep current on EHS requirements.
  • Improve upon and develop EHS programs and supporting resources, and integrate these procedures into existing facility processes.
  • Provide guidance to internal customers on potential improvements.
  • Assist the Leadership Team with driving Safety as a value and encouraging employee engagement and ownership.
  • Assist with EHS training modules and processes for employee development.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and identify workstation and process improvements based on data and ergonomic design criteria.
  • Assist with Job Hazard Analyses and risk assessments.
  • Assist with EHS data trend analysis, statistical reports, and problem-solving to reduce incident rates and environmental metrics.
  • Assist with Sustainability initiatives, including Zero Waste to Landfill and Energy Conservation.
  • Complete environmental inspections and corrective actions.
  • Maintain the existing SDS system and ensure new materials and products have appropriate SDS that are communicated to employees.
  • Track, maintain, and close out EHS-related near-miss reports.
  • Participate in EHS Safety Committee meetings.
  • Communicate EHS material through local EHS intranet site, articles, newsletters, signage, etc.
  • Support and collaborate with the EHS team on tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with recordkeeping and other routine activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
