About The Position

Mobile Testing Technicians operate a traveling Mobile Testing Lab for repairing tools and building ground sets and rope products. Requirements

  • Ability to load, unload, and move materials within or near the worksite.
  • Ability to read work orders or follow oral instructions.
  • Ability to recheck orders that someone else has assembled.
  • Ability to package merchandise for shipment by common carrier.
  • Ability to load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Ability to attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects by hand or with power hoist.
  • Ability to clean work area, machines, and equipment.
  • Ability to be courteous in all contact with company customers.
  • Ability to lock and unlock doors as assigned.
  • Ability to assist in keeping all work areas clean.
  • Ability to count, weigh, or measure incoming or outgoing items.
  • Ability to examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and correspond with shipper to rectify.
  • Ability to complete paperwork or forms required for documentation.
  • Ability to determine method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Ability to prepare materials for shipping by weighing, packaging, and stamping.
  • Ability to prepare necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies.
  • Ability to participate in routing, counting, and inspecting items while loading and unloading trucks.
  • Ability to deliver and return items.
  • Ability to ensure proper documentation and package marking with appropriate placards when moving hazardous materials.
  • Ability to fill orders and issue materials and supplies per request.
  • Ability to document transactions appropriately.
  • Ability to prepare requisitions and compute costs.
  • Ability to keep records of storeroom inventory.
  • Ability to participate in ordering or purchasing standard stock items.
  • Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hand tools, hydraulic tools, battery tools, hoists, and hot sticks.
  • Ability to identify repair parts required.
  • Ability to assist in preparing estimates for customers and placing parts orders.
  • Ability to build custom rope products and ground sets.
  • Ability to perform High Voltage Testing.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and move materials within or near the worksite.
  • Read work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Recheck orders that someone else has assembled as an additional service to our customer.
  • Package merchandise for shipment by common carrier.
  • Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Attach identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales or other containers.
  • Lift heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.
  • Be courteous in all contact with company customers.
  • Lock and unlock doors as assigned. Assist in keeping all work areas clean.
  • Count, weigh or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records; examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and correspond with shipper to rectify; complete paperwork or forms required for documentation.
  • Determine method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates; prepares materials for shipping by weighing, packaging, and stamping; prepares necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
  • Participate in routing, counting, and inspecting items while loading and unloading trucks; deliver and returns items.
  • Ensure proper documentation and package marking with appropriate placards when moving hazardous materials.
  • Fill orders and issue materials and supplies per request; document transactions appropriately; prepare requisitions and compute costs; keep records of storeroom inventory.
  • Participate in ordering or purchasing standard stock items, such as recommending additions or deletions to standard stock items or ordering replenishments within established procedures and limits.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hand tools, hydraulic tools, battery tools, hoists, and hot sticks.
  • Identify repair parts required. Assist in preparing estimates for customers and placing parts orders.
  • Build custom rope products and ground sets.
  • Perform High Voltage Testing.
