About The Position

The M&R Branch Manager will be responsible for the daily leadership, direction, and technical development of Maintenance & Reliability Technicians and Lead Technicians. This position requires strong in-field leadership, including active job-site follow-up, hands on coaching, and support. You will also be accountable for tracking, and reviewing departmental metrics and team performance, using these insights to drive continuous improvement. Implementing best practices and strategies to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and profitability of your department will be critical to supporting broader organizational goals.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in maintenance and reliability, with 2-4 years in a supervisory or lead technician capacity.
  • Ability to manage maintenance operations and capital projects.
  • Support and implement Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience using predictive maintenance tools (e.g., thermal imaging, vibration analysis).

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred certifications: CRMP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional), Lean Six Sigma, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), or equivalent credentials in reliability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee priority work orders, scheduled repairs, and routine maintenance while ensuring safety protocols and bio-security measures are followed.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external contractors to support operational needs while upholding safety, legal, and cost standards.
  • Ensure timely and transparent communication of work orders status across field staff, production managers, customers, and administrative teams.
  • Champion safety practices and ensure compliance with all regulatory and permit-required safety standards.
  • Apply Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and LEAN principles to improve facility performance, reduce costs, and support standardized maintenance procedures.
  • Promote the proper use and maintenance of tools, vehicles, and equipment to maximize lifespan and readiness.
  • Conduct structured, outcome-driven meetings, lead by example in the field, and manage staff performance, coaching, and hiring.
  • Track KPIs, communicate progress and challenges, support procurement decisions, and propose improvements to boost asset health and department effectiveness.
