About The Position

The Maintenance & Facilities Technician is an entry-level position that supports safe, efficient, and reliable site operations by helping maintain facility equipment, utilities, and work areas. Working under appropriate direction and following established procedures, this role helps minimize equipment downtime, supports operational and facility improvement projects, and contributes to a clean, organized, and well-maintained workplace.

Requirements

  • Accurately completes tasks as assigned with adherence to expected quality standards
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, supervisors, vendors, and contractors.
  • Read, understand, and follow the safety information, equipment labels, work instructions, maintenance procedures, and other job-related materials required for the position.
  • Ask questions or seek clarification when instructions or expectations are unclear.
  • Accurately complete required forms, checklists, maintenance records, and reports to document task completion, inspections, repairs, and equipment service history.
  • Demonstrate humility, initiative, dependability, helpfulness, and respect when working with others.
  • Respond constructively to feedback, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and willingly support team members and changing operational needs.
  • Regular movement throughout the facility, including standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned operations projects and tasks in accordance with established priorities, timelines, work instructions, and safety requirements.
  • Work with operations, manufacturing, and other team members to support project completion.
  • Provide manufacturing support after completing all required training and authorization.
  • Communicate task status, potential delays, resource needs, and identified concerns to management, and maintain accurate records of completed work.
  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules and procedures.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections to identify and report signs of wear, malfunction, or potential failure.
  • Respond to equipment issues within the scope of completed training and assist qualified team members or service providers with troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment return-to-service activities.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and commonly used replacement parts, and notify management when items need to be reordered.
  • Accurately document inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment service history.
  • Perform routine tasks to keep work areas, common spaces, facility grounds, and utility areas clean, organized, sanitary, safe, and in good working condition.
  • Complete minor facility repairs and general maintenance within the scope of completed training.
  • Assist with facility repairs, equipment installations, renovations, and improvement projects as assigned.
  • Identify and report facility conditions, utility concerns, safety hazards, and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain facility, cleaning, and project supplies in designated storage areas and provide on-site support for approved vendors and contractors as directed.
  • Follow all company safety policies, equipment procedures, sanitation requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Use required personal protective equipment, maintain safe and orderly work areas, and perform only those tasks for which the employee has been trained and authorized.
  • Promptly report hazards, incidents, injuries, equipment damage, and unsafe conditions.
  • Complete required maintenance forms, inspection checklists, service records, and other documentation accurately and on time.
