Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or technical field
  • 2+ years of maintenance or facilities engineering experience in industrial, commercial, or facility environments
  • 1+ years of experience with PLC, controls, mechanical, electrical, and/or HVAC systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time along with routine lifting of items that typically weigh up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to bend, stoop, stand, and squat.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Trade license (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing – depending on jurisdiction)
  • Completion of technical school or apprenticeship
  • Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Understanding of PLC basics and motor controls
  • Forklift, scissor lift, or aerial work platform certification
  • Lockout/Tagout trained
  • Physically capable of working in a fast-paced, stop-and-go manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Alert, dependable, and safety-focused.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing material handling or similar industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of parts and materials required for production operations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to make quick decisions in support of a process-oriented operation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute preventive maintenance programs for mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Manage PLC and control systems for the factory and facility equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex equipment and facility issues with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support capital projects and facility upgrades, including planning and execution.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices and safety procedures.
