About The Position

AJW Group is a world-leading independent specialist in the supply, exchange, repair and lease of aircraft spare parts. With over 90 years of aviation experience, AJW supports over 1000 airlines across 100 countries. One of the main divisions of the AJW Group is AJW Technique, a state-of-the-art component Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility with over 150 experienced and passionate technicians in Montreal. Summary: The primary responsibilities of the Maintenance and Calibration Technician include, but are not limited to, the following: overseeing the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, restoration, repair, and modification of industrial equipment, whether it is production equipment, machine tools, handling equipment, or any other type of industrial equipment. The technician is also responsible for the maintenance of the building as well as ventilation and electrical systems. If necessary, they perform calibration of tools and equipment.

Requirements

  • DEP in Industrial Mechanics, College Diploma (DEC) in Building Mechanical Technology, or in a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Computer skills (MS Office) and/or an operations management system (ERP).
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize workload based on the company's objectives and priorities.
  • Production-oriented (ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures to meet job requirements on an established basis - performance measures).
  • Team spirit (a cooperative attitude for process improvement and problem solving).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (bilingualism in French and English is required to effectively communicate with various stakeholders).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the inspection, diagnosis, and calibration of our equipment.
  • Repair machines when they break down (electrical, pneumatic, mechanical).
  • Perform improvement work on systems and produce maintenance reports.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance and equipment upkeep.
  • Provide technical support to managers in planning, construction, and to external professionals and maintenance staff.
  • Install, move, or replace various equipment (furniture, production equipment, etc.).
  • Participate in equipment modifications and the installation of new production machines.
  • Perform any required general building maintenance tasks.
