About The Position

Performs routine manual labor; does related work as required. Under direct supervision, this position performs routine manual labor work. This position will primarily focus on maintaining the athletic fields, with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School graduation or equivalent.
• Experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction, repair work or related experience.
• Must have a current valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Ability to follow oral instructions.
• Ability to get along well with others.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds, or using adaptive equipment or methods to accomplish these tasks.
• Ability to use power equipment as instructed.
• Ability to understand, speak, write and read the English language, for receiving and reading instructions for cleaning and chemical handling, and radio and emergency communications.

Responsibilities

• Preparation for painting (i.e. scraping, pressure washing, etc.)
• Re-painting safety stripes on exterior stairs
• Moving furniture and equipment.
• General clean up.
• Assisting other Building Maintenance and Grounds staff as directed, primarily mowing the athletic fields.
• May operate a pickup truck or other small vehicle to deliver materials and remove materials.
