About The Position

Provide leadership, support and knowledge to Team Members to assist Leadec in maintaining and improving the capability of machinery and equipment to achieve customer objectives. This role involves supervising union employees on the third shift and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards within an industrial-manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Experience working in industrial settings such as factories, plants, or warehouses.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

  • Skilled in Root Cause based maintenance practices.
  • Exceptional planning, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working in a union environment.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience in supervision or management is preferred.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and control systems is a plus.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
  • Works safely at all times and coaches Team Members to abide by all Leadec and customer safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintains relationships with Team Members and customers.
  • Effectively manages service delivery of existing business for scope of work (SOW).
  • Actively participates in the customers' business initiatives and develops and implements plans to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Effectively communicates necessary information and status updates to the manager.
  • Participates in meetings and walk-throughs with the site management team and/or the customer.
  • Prioritizes work and allocates resources to meet changing customer requirements.
  • Operates within the Leadec Values (Professionalism, Respect for Individual, Colleagueship, Openness, Reliability and Integrity) to promote an overall positive culture.
  • Focuses on resource utilization, continuous improvement, measurement and audit.
  • Produces and administers all required documentation and follows up with both internal and customer needs to ensure task completion meets expectations.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable policies and laws.
  • Ensures the implementation of Leadec "Safety It's Your Life" Process to ensure all employees are engaged in safe work practices.
  • Demonstrates role model behavior for safety, integrity, and ethical standards as well as portrayal behaviors consistent with a lean manufacturing culture.
  • Ensures delivery of maintenance services using root cause analyses, continuous improvement, and problem-solving activities through data-driven scientific methods.
  • Participates in the development of Standardized Maintenance Practices for all Leadec activities.
  • Adheres to and supports all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
  • Supervises union employees on third shift.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.
