Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or industrial maintenance mechanic
- Experience working on front end loaders, material handlers, forklifts, skid steers, or similar heavy equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in hydraulic systems
- Experience diagnosing mechanical failures and performing complex repairs
- Familiarity with CMMS systems for work orders and maintenance documentation
- Ability to work independently and prioritize repairs in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledgeable of the 5S system for managing tools and equipment
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with brands such as Liebherr, Fuchs, Sennebogen, Volvo and Bobcat
- Diesel engine experience
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Experience supporting spare parts or maintenance inventory systems
- Experience in industrial, recycling, construction, or material handling environments
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy industrial and mobile equipment
- Maintain and repair equipment including: Front end loaders, Material handlers, Forklifts, Skid steers
- Maintain and service various types of metal recycling equipment
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, and hoses
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections to minimize downtime
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement long-term repair solutions
- Repair or replace components including engines, bearings, pumps, seals, hydraulic components, and mechanical assemblies
