The Maint Worker – Plumber position is a skilled technician role within the Plant Engineering Department, primarily focused on technical functions such as inspecting, servicing, and repairing plumbing systems and equipment. Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid Texas Drivers License
- Basic general maintenance skills training and/or minimum two years related experience, including, at least one of the following, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, steam plant, metal work, and welding.
Responsibilities
- Responds to requests by pager, radio, telephone or other methods of communication.
- Performs emergency repairs using proper trouble-shooting techniques.
- Conducts periodic inspections/tests based on pre- determined priorities and conditions.
- Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment as specified.
- Maintains logs of inspections, tests, servicing, and repairs as required.
- Completes work orders as required.
- Participates in and supports a process to improve performance of services.
