Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Minimum of 4 years work experience which relates to the mechanical maintenance field, such as, repair of mechanical systems, metal fixture fabrication, welding, equipment alignment techniques and repair of pumps.
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance techniques, material, tools and equipment.
  • Ability to follow and carry out written and oral instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including rotating shift assignment.
  • Ability to function well as a member of the work team.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry approved apprenticeship program

  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions managing assignments per shift
  • Ability to weld and maintain certifications
  • Millwright card preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment operation experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Examine equipment to diagnose trouble and effect repairs or replacement of broken parts.
  • Adjust functional parts of equipment as required
  • Adhere to established industry and safety practices.
  • Inspect completed work and ensure that work conforms to requirements of local building and safety codes.
