About The Position
ConocoPhillips is seeking a Mainline – Field Operator to join their team in the Eagle Ford region. This role is responsible for the operation of designated central facilities, including monitoring and optimizing production and cost. The company is a leading independent exploration and production company with global operations, emphasizing safety, integrity, and teamwork. The Eagle Ford operation in south Texas is a significant unconventional resource development for the company, with extensive acreage and ongoing full-field development. The Mainline – Field Operator will perform routine calibrations, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electronic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment. This includes maintaining and troubleshooting power systems, keeping accurate records of equipment and maintenance, and completing work orders. Collaboration with various teams, including I&E personnel, artificial lift techs, mechanics, and operators, is essential. The role requires the ability to read and interpret technical documents, exercise stop work authority, and contribute to teamwork and safety compliance.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Current/Valid Driver's License
- 3 or more years of experience in unconventional field operations.
- Basic level of understanding of gas compression principles and practices
- Basic level of understanding of dehydration principles and practices
- Basic level of understanding of gas and liquid measurement
- Basic knowledge of mechanics and instrumentation
- Currently reside or be willing to relocate within a 40-mile driving radius of Kenedy, TX
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform/align with: Work in temperature extremes or adverse weather conditions; Wear appropriate special safety equipment; Walk, bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull; Use hand tools to make minor repairs; Work weekends and be on call
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree and/or trade certificate or higher in Production Technology, Process Technology or other related technical field or foreign equivalent
- 5 or more years direct experience with oil and gas production practices, equipment, and terminology
- 1 or more years direct experience with dehy, compression and VRU operations
- Intermediate proficiency in PSSR and MOC processes
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and Word
- Committed to safety, environmental and regulatory compliance
- Ability to prepare accurate and legible reports
- Inclination and interest in training and mentoring others
- Constantly searches for and implements new ways of doing business better

Responsibilities
- Perform routine calibrations, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electronic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment such as, but not limited to, motor controls, process control equipment, flares, valves and positioners, emergency shutdown systems, uninterruptible power supplies, fire and gas detection systems and radio networks
- Maintain, install, and troubleshoot power systems of various voltages (12/24 VDC and 120/480VAC)
- Maintain accurate records of electrical and instrumentation equipment, repair history and preventive/predictive maintenance
- Complete work orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Work closely with I&E Foreman, Lead, Specialists, and techs as well as, artificial lift techs, mechanics, and operators to resolve issues
- Read and interpret manuals, policies, standards, drawings, and schematics, including electrical, pneumatic, and P&ID’s
- Exercise stop work authority
- Driving teamwork throughout the area of responsibility
- Completing and maintaining required safety/regulatory training (CBT)
- Participate in Respiratory Program requirements
- Participate in on call and callout requirements
