Mainframe Production Support
About The Position
Derex Technologies Inc is seeking a Mainframe Production Support - Infra Admin in Pennsylvania. This role requires 5 days onsite and involves supporting CA-7, Control-M, batch monitoring and scheduling, and JCL. The candidate will be responsible for providing immediate fixes, submitting jobs from CA-7-CA11, and resolving batch abends. Strong skills in Unix Shell scripting, version control tools like Endevor, and service management applications like Service-Now are essential. The role also requires strong decision-making, effective communication, and interpersonal skills to build client relationships.
Requirements
- Strong skills in CA-7 batch monitoring and scheduling techniques for a multiplatform environment, or any other equivalent scheduling tool.
- Extensive knowledge of batch processing and experienced in resolving batch abends like SB-37, SE-37, Catalog issues, JCL errors.
- Knowledge in TSO, ISPF, File AID, SPOOL.
- Strong skills in Unix Shell scripting.
- Knowledge and experience in Endevor / any version control tool.
- Have knowledge / experience in service management application such as Service-Now.
- A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
- An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build client relationship/rapport quickly.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with JCL, CA7, batch scheduling, CA7 admin work, UNIX, scripting, FTP batch job error resolution, ServiceNow, Endevor. Harvest
Responsibilities
