Requirements

• Mainframe Production support experience of 8 or more years.
• Good knowledge on IMS, DB2 and COBOL.
• Good knowledge in writing JCLs, SORT and ICETOOL.
• Past experience in deployment activities and participation in implementation planning.
• Experience of using GENAI tools (VS code, Git co-pilot etc.,) in day to day development activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide design decisions.
• Solve production job failures.
• Implement medium to major projects into production.
• Investigate emergency issues or production problems and provide updates to business and other stakeholders.
• Write quick SORT/FOCUS/SAS to fix bad data and provide instructions to continue with night batch flow in case of quick data fixes are required to address any batch job failure during night batch.
• Create and manage VSAM datasets and logic for reading/writing data from VSAM files.
• Perform deployment activities and participate in implementation planning.
• Use GENAI tools (VS code, Git co-pilot etc.,) in day to day development activities.
