Mainframe Infrastructure Engineering Lead (Systems Software)

Key Responsibilities Lead delivery of mainframe hardware and software lifecycle management initiatives Manage teams supporting multiple z/OS mainframe environments Provide technical leadership across core mainframe technologies including JCL, DB2, IMS, CICS, source code management, and SDLC practices Oversee security mechanisms such as RACF, ACF2, and TSS Drive modernization, automation, and continuous improvement of mainframe services Partner with data center services, production services, and application development teams to support enterprise initiatives Lead and develop managers and technical staff through coaching, mentoring, and talent development practices Guide cross?functional efforts and complex programs to successful outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 6–10 years of relevant infrastructure or systems engineering experience
- Direct hands-on mainframe experience is required
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across technical and business stakeholders
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem?solving capabilities
Nice To Haves
- 10+ years of diverse IT experience preferred
- financial services experience is a plus
- Strong experience in mainframe infrastructure, system programming, or mainframe application development
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of mainframe hardware and software lifecycle management initiatives
