About The Position

NTT DATA is seeking a Mainframe Exstream Developer (FTE / Hybrid) to join their team in Irving, Texas. This role involves software development, document design and composition using Exstream Dialogue, mainframe integration with COBOL and JCL, testing and debugging, production support, and modernization of legacy systems. The developer will manage application development deliverables throughout the project lifecycle, working with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

Requirements

Overall 5+ years of experience.
Proficiency in IBM Mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.
2–5+ years of hands-on experience with OpenText (HP) Exstream. Knowledge of Exstream Engine, Design Manager, and Delivery Manager is essential.
Strong SQL skills, IBM utilities (SORT, IEBGENER), and Endevor or Changeman for release management.
Experience operating in Agile/Scrum or Waterfall SDLC environments using tools like Jira and Bitbucket.
Knowledge and experience in Content Management Tools (Exstream or Messagepoint, ADA tagging), JIRA, Confluence.

Responsibilities

Write clean, efficient, and executable code in low-level and high-level languages.
Manage application development deliverables for the entire Life cycle of the development Project - both Waterfall and Agile models as may be applicable for each project assigned.
Use Exstream Dialogue to design, format, and maintain document templates, ensuring data maps accurately to layouts.
Write and maintain JCL and COBOL programs to extract and format mainframe data (DB2, VSAM) to be ingested by the Exstream engine.
Perform unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Resolve JCL errors and document formatting bugs.
Monitor batch jobs, analyze spool files, and troubleshoot production issues related to document generation.
Migrate legacy document systems to Exstream and maintain compliance with regulatory communication standards.
